I am thinking about starting up a Karaoke Service and I need some question answered.

How much would you pay for some to come to your party or event and setup a Karaoke booth?

How much per hour?

What it sounds like you will basically want to do is rent the equipment with directions to put it together. You could also provide the service where you deliver and set it up and take it down at an extra fee. Perhaps another service where someone operates the equipment by the hour.

Charging by the song is not the best way, it is hard to know how much your customer will have to spend, and they don't like that. By the hour or by the day is the best way to do it.

I agree, I'm a DJ, and the last thing I could chime in on. It would make no sense for me to charge per song because who knows how many songs they might want me to play. They might want me to play 5 or hell, a whole set.

I basically want to be the person that operates the equipment. The customer would come to me to tell me the song they want and I hand them the MIC and they sing.

then you would charge them a base fee $25-50 for setup, charge them by the hour for the equipment $25, then charge them for your time $25... don't quote me on prices. so if someone wants to rent the equipment for 4 hours and have you run it they would pay $25 (setup) + 254 (equipment) + 254 (your time) so $225 total. perhaps throw in setup with your time. You may want to have a deposit on the equipment and the event
