Hello, recently I was thinking of starting my own little computer business. All I really plan to do are services like: Repair, upgrades, and cleanings. Reason I was looking to do this is because I am 15 and for a summer job I wanted something that I would like to do. And I am good at doing upgrades and minor repairs. I can install windows, put in all sorts of components to upgrade computers, and I can do MacBooks as well as PCs. So are there any laws on such a business that I should look out for?

I'd take a quick look at something like Starting A Business For Dummies before you go ahead but I think what should concern you most is how you're covered if you make a mistake, especially if you're living in the most litigious country in the world!!! I'm not saying that you're going to mess up but accidents do happen and computer gear tends to be rather expensive to replace. Insurance would be wise though I appreciate that it might be prohibitive in cost. If you're going to proceed on an 'at your own risk' basis then you need to communicate that to your clients before you start and get their agreement in writing.
