I need help converting video files into a format my Nexus 7 can read, i have the android file transfer application which works fine but i've tried moving video files over and they wont play. I have a free video convertor called Miro Video Convertor that i got off the app store for free but the Nexus 7 isn't listed among android devices it can convert to, so i need an application that can do this that also works on the Mac. Kinda wish they included software like this with it including the android file transfer so people weren't left scratching their head, USB 3.0 would've been good as well for faster file transfers :p Cheers |

Yep VLC works pretty well, by default hardware acceleration is disabled on it so you have to enable it in the options menu (experiment with the hardware acceleration) For a player with a wide format support that is pretty stable, also check out MX player it is free. link to the vlc builds (they are still in beta) http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/armv7-android-tegra2/ 720p and under can be handled by software rendering but 1080p needs hardware acceleration 720p 10 bit (common in anime) also needs hardware acceleration. handbrake will allow you to convert but it is a slow process. http://handbrake.fr/downloads.php |
