What do you think the BIGGEST problems in modern today society are? (There is no wrong answer)

I know this isn't the "largest" problem facing our society, but most of the ones I might have otherwise named have already been covered. One of the things that I think is a real problem in this world is the sense of importance and entitlement that FAR too many people (young and old, rich and poor) have.

So many people actually believe that they are entitled to nearly everything you can think of... money, fame, physical objects, respect, trust - the list goes on and on. Let me tell you something little darlings - you're entitled to nothing. Try earning your way. Attempt to work for what it is you want. Stop feeling as though you are better than everything and everyone. Treat others as though they are on the same level as you because they ARE - we are all human. Period.

• For what we paid for Gulf War 3 (you know it as the War in the Gulf), we could have fed every man, woman, and child in the world for a decade.
• People need to learn to keep their religion to themselves. It has caused more problems for mankind than any other cause throughout history.
• People are intrinsically greedy. It's OK to put yourself first, but too many people put themselves only. Think of others, at least a little.

The fact that everybody thinks that they know everything

Greed, plane and simple. always has been, always will be.

Education. Its terrible. Im in a public school and 2/3 of my fellow students think Africa is a country or barely know our countries history. Its sad to see. It almost feels as if we are growing dumber.

Modern media is one of the biggest problems.You might think its not as serious however most girls that grow up and want to be Hannah think they can sing songs for a living and dont see a need of having an education. Also the whole american tv shows are banging girls heads in, sure there is another problem money involved : Money,however most girls in my class (yes im still in school) think that they can do whatever they want and will make a living from not knowing what happened with BP and why it is bad (i live in Spain and go to a private school).They think they are better than anybody else and that all the 'geeks' suck and dont have social lives however when they need help they come to them etc. As i said money also makes a problem because rich parents spoil their kids,giving them everything and that basically teaches them that they can have anything they want and do anything they want and they will be successful.Sure im only 14 and i might see everything quite badly however i know plenty 'kids' in their 20's who are as stupid as a rock not because they dont have enough brain cells to think for themselves but the fact that they were too spoiled as kids. Media basically turns most people into zombies that buy buy buy anything that has a certain name on it like 'justin timberlakes perfume' because media portaits him as awesome so everybody wants to awesome too.It might sound silly however most people are becoming bimbos for rich older partners and there is plenty enough evidence around... the world is becoming a big planet full of idiots,ignorants,poverty,pollution and propaganda. The message today's media sends to society: Drugs, murder, Stereotypes, racism, to not respect other religious views, the message kids these days learn at their schools, not to mention the lack of productivity in people and children. The governments do not impulse and motivate kids to learn and stay in school these days. People want to live an easy live depending on government help and others. Probably lack of motivation to enjoy life :)

Japan's kids learn at 5th grade what in America and Europe learn in Hight School and University their math learning is amazing :)

Know it alls, laziness, selfishness & superiority complexes.

materialism it teaches people that you have to have the latest ting in order to be happy.

My biggest issue with our modern day society is it's individualistic views. It serves its purpose and has many strengths and weakness and I would like to see a future where we combine individualistic and collectivist views. Individual success and motivation are important values to attain but it shouldn't always be at the cost of others.
