I currently have a tech channel on YouTube, that is partner with a network. Things are going great with them. Along side my tech channel I have a vlog channel, where I upload video from my front facing camera talking about my day, experiences and so on. I was wondering if it would be worth partnering that with them as well? Or should I just keep it as it's own thing? Thanks! |

Well in my opinion, it depends. If you live and breathe technology everyday, and your vlogs always has relation to tech, then it MIGHT be a good idea. One or two days with just plain you is fine but overall in relation to tech. On the other hand, it's vlogs about your daily life. I would count that as personal. It's really your choice on whether you want to partner that network or not, but I personally like to keep my personal things, personal. A vlogging channel is counted personal and partnering with someone for a personal thing, isn't a good way to go. That's what I think. Hope I helped! Cheers, Aaron |

Networks might offer more exposure a banner for your channel, but you could get a reduced CPM (cost per mile, or cost per 1k views), so yeah, also your network might provide some help if you need it. Anyway, read about pros and cons and research the network you want to join. (Also, read the fine print or take the contract to a lawyer who knows internet law, that might cost you, but it might save you form a legally binding contract you can't get out of) |
