Well 2012 is coming to a close in a few weeks or so, so I was thinking of opening this question in the Summer but I would think that would've been way too forward.

If you don't know what the British Invasion was, I'd read these two links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Invasion and http://goo.gl/TrMwQ

Do you guys think 2012 was the 3rd British Invasion? A lot of British songs have been coming on the radio and been coming very popular. For example, One Direction, Ellie Goulding, The Wanted, etc. I'm trying to figure out why now? If some of these songs came out 2 years ago, why are they gaining traction now? What do you guys think?

and shows like Doctor Who and Sherlock have become alot more popular over here in America, as well as a few other BBC dramas whose names I'm not sure of.
