Hey guys,

I have an iPhone 4 that has been with me for roughly 2 years now. Recently my iPhone just randomly reboots itself. It doesn't happen often, just every once in a very long while, but I'm just worried. It's running 6.0.1 and this problem never occurred in 6.0 and below.

Is this something I should be concerned about? Anyone else having this issue?

Hmm, have you popped the inside and checked if anything's gone awry? I wouldn't do it if your under warranty but you said it's been 2 years, so unless you bought that AppleCare, you're free to open it.

Does it get really hot before it reboots? Do you ever notice it getting really hot in your pocket? It could be a rogue system process caused by a glitch, try restoring it to factory conditions in iTunes, and if it still does it, try sending it into/taking it in for support at Apple.

well no...it's normal when it reboots. As for heating up, it only happens when I'm using the phone A LOT. Otherwise everything is fine.

I'd run a manual backup to iCloud and then restore it just to see if it fixes it. Best of luck with it

How many apps do you have open? You can double press the home button to see all apps that are open. You can close them by holding and pressing the close button in that row. If you've got to many apps open at once the memory will most likely be pretty full and when it get's to full the iPhone reboots trying to free up memory.

I have like 4 apps open at all times. TweetBot, Instagram, Messages and Whatsapp. So I doubt it's that :/

I can't believe that all the devices get broken after the exactly two years, so after the warranty period...

Well it's not exactly broken, just starting to act up. Of course after the warranty period, that's why it's limited to 1 or 2 years for a phone.
