Why do many people care that Mac is better then PC or PC is better then Mac? Both can do different things but they all can go on the internet and go to the same websites. Why do people care what OS is better? What you use is what you like. I don't look at people and judge them differently just because they use a Mac or a PC. I know many people are going to troll on this post but really. Who cares if you can customize a PC more then a Mac or if Mac is faster then a PC. Mac, PC, I use both and I don't like ether one better then the other. I use both and like both just the same even though I do different things on both of my Mac and PC

Because they bought into whatever claims whichever "in crowd" they belong to claimed. No one likes to be wrong, and no one likes buyers remorse. Personally, I think both OS's stink, and everyone should be using Linux. I make that suggestion to people, and I suggest ways in which they can use it, but they can use whatever they like. Just because I think they stink, doesn't mean another person will. If it works for you for whatever purpose you have in mind for it, that's great. Of course, because I use Linux, I probably wouldn't buy Apple hardware, but perhaps there would be a reason for it, I just don't know it. |

People are naturally competitive. It's instilled in our brains since eternity. We always want to criticize and be better than the next person. With that said, that's probably why most people brag and care if people listen to them. |

These debates can be closely related to why do people get uptight about a different sports team, people are competitive by nature. |

I buy a computer based on what I need and what I want. It shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks. It all comes down to personal preference. |

Because thats's how people are. They always like to believe what they have is the best, and that they are special. But the real answer is it's relitive. What's better for you may not be better for me. And what is better for me is not going to be better for you. We all like to have different things, and use different interfaces, so, one operating system can'r please everyone. |

Some people like to feel pride in their choice of computer and feel that it is superior, especially if they pay a high price premium for it. If you look at most mac vs PC arguments, they are largely based on price for given hardware, since the components that actually process data are exactly the same on a mac or PC, and subjective things that cant be objectviely tested. |
