I say decent because I'm not expecting it to be the same. Do you think you can get decent computer sound without a sub-woofer? I currently have a Logitech 5.1 Surround sound (only using 2 of the 5 speakers). Basically I'm tired of all the cords and clutter and would like to get rid of my speaker system and go with a basic 2 speakers system with a power cord.

Can you get decent sound out of these types of systems? Although I do use my computer a lot I don't crank my system at all and not a big music person besides the occasional YouTube video.

Some people like Bose and some don not; however, they do fit your purpose very well. They make 3 different sets of computer speakers that all do not have subs you can also get some that do.

Check out the top three items on this page: http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/shop_online/digital_music_systems/computer_speakers/index.jsp

They are actually on sale right now for Christmas.
