The picture show what really I am talking about. For some reason I noticed that on my Mac mini with my 24 inch 1920x1080p monitor I am feeling that the new YouTube design is squished. It might just be me but everything is smaller and only set to display on one side of the screen then on in the middle. Does anybody else feel this way because I am having this problem and it is really annoying to me! I am using Chrome and I only use Chrome |

Same problem here on my laptop at 1600 by 900:
Also note the flattering picture of Chris... |

That's how they designed it. It's supposed to look that way. I think if they just centered it, it would look a lot better. |
|
I actually like the new design, even with all it's flaws. With my other computer, the one with the 1280 x 800 resolution, it looks perfect. I like how when I put the playlist on, it made it black and it fit with the background. It looks boss.

same problem here, the new design sucks, the home page no longer shows the latest subscription upload, you now have to click through 2 pages to get to it every time. |
|
Yeah, I'm getting that too. My resolution is 1600 x 900.
|
|
The reason it is like that is because the new YouTube layout doesn't take into account larger screen sizes/resolutions. And everything is pushed to the left by default. I am sure YouTube will be fixing this very soon. Maybe it will be different for people with larger resolution screens, or maybe they'll just center it. Who really knows. |

I'm sure the designers viewed the design on multiple displays, and the end result was that they just simply liked the design that way. Remember that what looks bad to you, may look good to others, Best is relative. If you don't like the design that way, then download chrome and inspect the page, select body and add CSS code :
replace S with however many pixels looks nice to you. then select #yt-masthead-container and untick
then untick
Now open a new tab and load YouTube, right click anywhere on the page and select inspect element, then select #yt-masthead-container and untick
then untick
We have turned off the top grey bar because it would be easier than coding it to not also use the left mergin style, flick between the tabs and see how actually the new design isn't all that bad! if you disagree then code a plugin for chrome to make the changes I just listed every time you load YouTube. And if you don't then I will soon maybe be working on something like that myself anyway :) If you are not capable of trying this task, then just take advantage of modern day browsers, ctrl+ ctrl- etc |

It's terrible IMO. YouTube needs to get their together. Everything is to the left on my screen also. |

Studio66 also your not supporting this site by using adblock......
So what he's using AdBlock. It's not against the law to use it. I use it too and most people on the internet use it also.
I don't know, "most people" seems a little exaggerated. Maybe a strong 30%, but I find it hard believing that most people on the Internet use Adblock.
It is unfair for creators. they only put that content out for free because they get the ads to make up for it, delete the ads and your just taking and never giving back.
