Camtwist - Poor performance when recording desktop

i have looked around on the internet for HOURS trying to figure out a way to make cam-twist preform better when i am trying to stream my desktop! when im not streaming my dekstop it run up to 40ish fps (i limit it to 35fps) and when i turn on the desktop and there is movement on the selected capture area it goes down to around 5fps... this is a major issue that Allocinit need to adress.

if system specs really matter:

Processor 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
Serial Number WQ94581M66D
Software OS X 10.8.2 (12C60)
