I mean it's pretty straight forward. I went downtown and it gave me the notification that I was x minutes away from my house. How does it poll that data of where I live? Does it track my location to see if I'm stationary for x amount of time and sets it as default? This is Google Now, btw.

I think it's either set or it works out the place at which you spend the most time

Tim's right, you set it or it'll assume where it is based on the amount of time you spend there. It'll do the same for work location too. It can be turned off if it bugs you.

It doesn't bug me haha. It's just interesting. So, theoretically if I spend most of my time in Yankee Stadium or whatever, would it make it my work location as you said?

I forgot to add this. Now seems right time to add it, as I just remembered. When I go to maps, I see a little home icon where's my house generally is. When I clicked on it, this is what shows up. Bus and train stations near me with times that they would be at the stop. http://imgur.com/d5ERMxa.png

My One X does the same since I updated to 4.1. Also, what is the name of that battery app you have that tells you how long your battery has left?

For most people the place they are at 1:00 am is most likely their home... yet i do know some people that if that is what Google went off of they would be really confused as that they are never in the same place at 1:00am anyways, yes, google knows your habits, and humans are quite predictable... However, it would be nice if it realized that you went the other way form work insted of going home that it would assume you dont want to go home after work...

@DJ Scooby Doo It just all depends I think. It probably would also reference things like what your Facebook page says and whatever else it could find about you. If you spend a lot of time at Yankee Stadium while they are hosting an event then it just might think you are just a huge Yankees fan or like all the other events that they host. It would probably also check to see where else you spend a lot of time and if that place is a business then you could also work there instead of at Yankee Stadium or you could work from home... Just so many variable that it most likely takes into consideration...
