My dad isn't that tech smart but I want to buy him a phone for Christmas. I was thinking an iPhone but the price of the bill is expensive. Nothing he can afford. So what are your recommendations on an Android phone? He'd looking for something that can browse the Internet, play games, have apps and let him upload his music to. Yeah I know all android phones can do that but I'm looking for something I can get him that he will understand how to use very quickly. He is around 55 years old and he can move his way around technology just not as good as I can. What are your recommendations for an Android phone for somebody who just got their first smartphone and needs something simple but with the features that a pro Android phone will have? |

i dont think android phones will be any cheaper per month then a android phone... I used to hvae an LG Optimus S, they since have released several versions, it was a nice phone, but i myself would never go back to it. |

I would say look at the new Galaxy SIII Mini. Small 4.0" screen, has the great features of the normal SIII, affordable with it being $400 unlocked through Amazon, decently speced. EDIT: It also has Jelly Bean on it. |

Well if you want simple and cheap
Drawback Runs on android 2.3 gingerbread It is for around INR or Rs17000 or in USD 17000/55 Hey I am not going to do the math |

What carrier do you need it on?
Why not an iPhone 4? Its free on contract and not terribly too much compared to some of the other phones you can get off contract... Its $450 for an unlocked iPhone 4 that can work on AT&T.
Like DJ said, we need to know what carrier you plan on having this phone operate on. We cannot accurately recommend any phones until you tell us.
