My Internet has been turning on and off randomly, and it's hurting my gaming and everything else. It's also stopping me from starting a YouTube series with my friends.

I have DSL with a router connected to a modem and I have Windows 7 on a Dell laptop.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE HELP! THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR OVER A YEAR!

The first is what kind of router are you using and the second is which kind of ADSL modem are you using. Have you tried doing a speedtst to see if the connection is good enough for gaming. Have you tried contacting your ISP provider to see if the line is getting too much interference. Are there filters on all of the other lines except for the one that the modem is hooked up to. Can you give us more details besides what you have given which is not enough to go by on right now.

Here are some cheap ways to help rule out issues. Monitor the devices to see if the issue is localized to a single device. Replace the jack that the modem is plugged into. Replace the CAT3 cable that connects the modem to the jack (it's best not to use a twisted pairs phone cable). Replace filters one by one and monitor connectivity. You're going to have to troubleshoot it to know what to do.

NEVER WRITE IN CAPS!

Sorry now that that is out of the way... have you contacted the ISP?

are you using a laptop or desktop? Is your internet connection is hard wired or is it wireless?
