So for Christmas I received a Fujitsu Lifebook laptop. Which boasts having 6gb of ram, 2gb of which just for graphics. So I assumed Gaming wise it would be great. But as it turns out it can not even handle GTA San Andreas when the resolution is set to anything higher than 800 x 600, yet it can run the steam game Spiral Knights just fine. Does anyone have any idea why this might be? Thank you in advance. |

Sounds like your laptop has an integrated card, which tend to be less than great for gaming. It sounds like the GPU isn't particularly great. If possible post the chip set your laptop uses, so we can look up more info about the specifics of it. The things to do with Chipsets I found are: Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port 1, 4, and 6. Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family SMBus Controller - 1C22. Intel(R) HM65 Express Chipset Family LPC Interface Controller - 1C49. Hope this helps. Thanks in advance. Run DXIDIAG and upload a screenshot of the Display tab, so we can see what you're running. To open dxdiag, hit windows key + r, type dxdiag and hit enter should look like this http://puu.sh/1GLAr |
