I don't think that's a fair generalization. A few of the far-rightwinged politicians give them all a bad name. I think at least one of the Senators from my state is very genuine. He honestly cares and stands up for minnesota and what we all believe.

Your joking right there's a 100+ days of oil in the ocean and there's nothing to complain about. Even if it was because of Bush's policies that didn't enforce safety regulations on off shore rigs, it shouldn't have taken 1/3 of a year to fix.

It ain't Obama's fault. Uhhh excuse me, but I LIVE ON THE GULF OF MEXICO and I've worked offshore ,sor heres the real story.We have never had a spill anywhere near this and NO ONE had te foggiest idea how to do with a blown BOP a mile down. This failure had all the stars aligned for a disaster, since more than one component and/or operation failed miserably. Bush,Clinton,Bush1 and especially Reagan, all bought into the lie that the oil industry 'knew what was best for the oilfield'. Self-regulation does not work. And no,Obama did not know and when the DWH went down,it was a little late to learn. it was strictly 'fly by the seat of your pants'. It took what it it took. Everyone, Obama, the MMS and every state's governor on the Gulf was way,way behind the eightball. Things are better - sort of, and you'll see 3 things come from this FUp.Federal money to fix the Wetlands, real regulation of Big Oil & compliance and hopefully, better engineering. And you haven't heard of the oilfields biggest secret. We have thousands of old non-producing wells in the Gulf - capped, not properly P&A- plugged and abandoned. We have MILES AND MILES of old and badly managed pipelines. But its not as bad as it sounds. It's just time for the Govt and some BIG BUSINESS people to take care of thier business.

Religion will most likely cloud Obama's judgement. That's why U.S.A. military personnel of the Muslim faith are screened. If you were a person of Muslim faith, could they depend on their judgement & actions to protect & serve, even kill a fellow muslim?!?

Actually, it would matter. Barack Hussein Obama II ran for President of the United States of America as a Christian. If he is truly a Muslim, then those voters who voted based on religion, should be allowed to take their vote back.

That election should then be invalid, and a new elections be held.
