I own a MacBook Pro, iPhone 4, iPod touch 2G, and now I am going for an iPad. I watch movies, play a few games (not those 3D graphic games though, simple 2D games), and do schoolwork (from the application "Pages"), etc. Which iPad should I buy? iPad 2 or iPad mini? I can afford only one. I am going to buy a case later. I do not wish for a keyboard case, so I think I'm going to buy an Apple Bluetooth Keyboard. In price, design, and performance, which do you suggest I choose? I know I can check videos at YouTube, etc. to see which fits me the best, but which would YOU suggest? |

I would suggest the mini simply because I like the smaller size more and it will likely be supported a little longer, but it's really personal preference. |

It depends on if you want ios updates. Apple only guarantees 2 major updatesper device and if I'm not mistaking I beleive ios 6 is it for the ipad 2. It also depends on size. Do you feel you would get better use of the bigger screen or smaller and if you plan on bringing it with you when you go places the mini may be more conveinent. In terms of price I beleive they are similar noe. In terms of performance the mini may offer you better performance. In terms of design the mini will stand up to dings and scratches on the back better but the glass I beleive is similar I may be wrong. I personally would get the 2 just because of the size I prefer the bigger size. It really is personal preference though. If there is an apple store in your area you could try out the mini but I beleive they have the 4's out for you to try now instead of the 2. Really I think both are great. Hope this helps and sorry for any spelling errors. Im not the best speller. |

Wow. You seem to be quite the collector. Im my honest opinion, i don't think you need either. You already have access to a fair share of the app ecosystem. But it's your money. If its purely for entertainment (movies and games) then go with the iPad 2. I'm sure you'd appreciate the large screen size. If its a gadget that you will be carrying around very frequently like to school or something then you may as well go ultra portable and go with the iPad mini. |
