Which would be better for browsing? A Windows 8 tablet like the Samsun Ativ and MS Surface or The Apple IPAD? |
|
I would say the iPad, because it's been around longer and a lot of sites are geared to take advantage of its brower's features. The Surface (or even the Samsung Ativ) is too new to have all of its features taken advantage of, since it is the RT version. A good Android-based tablet might make a good alternative with the Chrome Browser, or even Dolphin. I'd recommend Chrome for the sync feature. |

Thanks for the answers but I heard that IE10 on Windows 8 tablet gives me the desktop site while IPAD give something between mobile and desktop.

The windows 8 (Non RT version) tablets will give you the full site experience instead of directing you to the "Tablet version" of a site, however you will quickly find out how annoying that can be, as most of the "main sites" are not touch friendly. I have tried alot of tablets recently, and the iPad is still the best browsing experiance. no matter which version of a site you use :) |

I have both tablets. Well my brother has the Samsung and I have the iPad and I find that I use his Samsung alot purely because of the better Flash support. My iPad has been nothing more than a paperweight, at best a gaming device, really since he bought the Samsung especially as I use my MacBook Air for emailing etc instead of the iPad. But saying that every user is different! |

Definitely iPad.
