What is a good recording camera?

Cannon! I use the Cannon t3i which i plan to use for my short-film Runnaways, this summer. the t3i would be pushing your budget, but i do recommend it! the flip out screen is a lifesaver when your trying to focus with video work. Full 1080HD and 720HD when your want to do 60FPS which is great for slowmotion. you probably can pick one up on eBay or cregslist for a great price.
