[closed] Why is it that Macs don't "need" anti-virus software?

I always hear people say things such as "I'm a Mac user, so I don't use anti-virus software" Being a Mac user myself, I also have no anti-virus software installed, but what makes it different from Windows PCs that us Mac users need not worry about the dreaded viruses of the cyber world?
