So recently I have been givin a gift card and I need a case for my Nexus 7. I carry it to school in the tablet slot of my backpack which has fur like lining but not too thick. I usually just browse but the screen somehow got scratches on the edge. So should I invest in the travel case for it or just put a simple anti smudge and scratch screen protector?

I too use otter box on my iPhone, but I dont think that bulky of a case is needed for my tablet just because its harder for me to drop and im quite careful with it. So Im looking at a simple asus smart cover like case or a screen protector? Now thats where im stuck.
