it depends on the device, you will likely have to call the company that made it to find out or look google the device model + 3TB

if you find a good deal on a 3TB you can get one anyway and test and if it does not work, you can format it as a 2TB, or if it supports more than 1 partition, then partition the drive as a 2TB and 1TB partition
