All these parts are compatible, how ever I cannot help you with the CPU Cooler, so I will leave that to someone else. i5's can make for a good gaming system, as long as you get a good graphics card to match.

I can help out! Try the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU heatsink.

For graphics cards, take a look at the GTX 660 or 660ti. I own a 660ti.

Also, you can save money by getting an AMD CPU and motherboard. This way, you could get more performance per dollar. If you love Intel, I understand, but I'd like to throw out any possibilities that will help you along your way to building a stellar system!

what is the difference for the 660 and the 660i?

The difference is in the GPU. The 660ti has a larger GPU with more CUDA cores, so it can handle a lot more, and give you better FPS. Other than that, they have the same memory and memory controllers.
