I would like to attend CES does anyone know how I would go about that. Is there special needs or requirements. I know about paying for tickets and the hotels. |

From the FAQ's at the CES site: http://www.cesweb.org/FAQ/General.aspx#jumpto3-2 International CES is a trade-only event and not open to the general public. You must be in the consumer electronics industry to be eligible to attend the show. All attendees must be at least 18 years of age. Two forms of identification are required on-site (one photo ID and one proof of business affiliation/business card). So what is considered consumer electronics industry. I work at Apple genius bar and leave for internship in Cali with Apple in a month. Is that considered consumer electronics? I mean, I saw MKBHD, a Partnered YouTuber, he made a business card with his contact information as proof of his affiliation. I would assume if you have a business card and you show a presence in the Tech world, you'd be fine. Either you have a merchant selling electronics or a press with some high prerequisites. CES used to be open to the public then it changed because reporters could not report because every booth had a long line, so to allow the max number of people to see what each company has to offer, they make it open to the press and a select few people who are in the industry. |

It is kind of one of those things... if you have to ask, you will never know... It is a closed event and unless your company says to you "We want you to go to CES" you cannot go to CES. Sorry, but that is the way it is... |

Well that really sucks. i guess i will never go.
