Sainsbury's who I work for in the UK is still using old pos tills that is running win2000 and using a dos program. Is it hard to have a pos till on a win 7 or win 8 pc?

Getting (really) old software running on new machines is a matter of trying i suppose. No real way of saying in advance if it will work or not.

Try installing it on a Windows 7 or Windows 8 computer. And see what happens. If it doesnt work then we can try a Virtual Machine with the older operating system running. You might have good luck with Windows XP because it is the same OS basically at 2000.
