I have some problems with my Atheros AR9285. The signal is very weak in mulitple parts in my home, while other laptops don't have any issue. So, I searched online and found people with the same problem. Someone suggested to install an older version of the driver. Things is, how do I do that? Most of the EXE installers I tried don't let me because they're not from my laptop manufacturer and others say the version number of the installed one is higher.. I also found a website that gives me an INI file for a driver. How can I install that? |

Uninstall what you have currently, then use the .exe file to install |

Or if you get the really basic ones where it contains a sub folder it will have the inf file for it where it does not require an exe to install it. And just install it via the Inf file. and it will work just the same. Most of the time I have seen that from windows 2000 pro on up. |
