I was thinking about designing my own TV center with an area for a computer to be built right in and be able to interchange parts easily. Now I'm not going to build it, just design it. I'll have someone else build it. I just want it serve all the basic needs like a media center and some gaming. My question is what things would you take into consideration in the design to meet current needs and future proof?

For example, designing the space for the components with air flow and upgradability in mind.

Also, do you know of any programs that allow me to create furniture in a 3D environment?
