So I recently, and I do mean recently (only 4 days ago), started using Tumblr to try an "attempt" at blogging. However, before I started I did a little research on different blogging websites, and came across a couple of different ones that looked like they might work well; blogger, wordpress, tumblr, etc. I chose tumblr out of the group for the fact that right now it's free and easy to use. I was wondering what sites out there other folks use? Doesn't have to be free. Would you recommend a blog site or what are your thoughts on a registered domain?

Thanks =)

There's Blogger and Wordpress that are free. You could use a second hand computer and still use something like wordpress for blogging on your second hand computer. While linked externally to the internet. I have also used something called Joomla which is another content Management system that you could use das well on a second computer. I persoannly use Wordpress over here for now.

Right know I use Tumblr for my Minecraft blog http://minecraftmodernworld.tumblr.com/ And it's pretty simple to setup and publish, while a time back I used Blogger where you can configure all set of things, like widgets and all that stuff, but I just couldn't keep up so I moved to Tumblr ;).

The best blogging choice is to get a Shared Web Hosting account (or a VPS depending on your budget) and a TLD domain name and install WordPress.
