Flash stock Android 4.1.2 to Galaxy Nexus (OS X)

I tried to flash Android 4.1.2 to my GNex using this guide. I downloaded all the necessary files and unzipped them to my home directory. Then I opened Terminal and changed directory to where the fastboot-mac files were.

I rebooted my GNex to fastboot mode and my Mac recognized it instantly.

I managed to complete the steps 1-4. Then I skipped to step 9 because the guide says: "You really need to just run Steps 1, 2, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15."

But when I tried to flash system partition, I got the error: "No such file or directory". My Mac didn't even recognize the device anymore.

What do you think went wrong?

Where did you get your Nexus? (Obligatory Question) Carrier and Store if possible.

My Mac recognized my GNex again. I think it might work now.

Only question now is, should I flash Jelly Bean bootloader (PRIMELC03) before I flash the 4.1.2 image? My current bootloader is the ICS version (PRIMEKK15).

I tried to flash the Jelly Bean boot loader, but I got this error:

unknown partition 'bootloader-maguro-primelc03.img'
error: cannot determine image filename for 'bootloader-maguro-primelc03.img'

Yes! I successfully flashed the Jelly Bean bootloader!

Flash everything JB related. Follow all the steps, to the letter. Make sure you double-check everything. Find multiple guides, check XDA, check wikis. You want as much correlation as possible.

Yes, you should flash the JB bootloader. You should flash everything the system.img, the cache.img, even the userdata.img. If you want to install custom recoveries and etc, you should do it after you get a fully functioning build on the device.

I flashed Jelly Bean bootloader. Then I flashed the rest of the images (system, userdata, boot). Now I have 4.1.2 yakju. Before that, I also flashed the recovery.img. Then I tried the OTA update. Well, what did I see? Red triangle of death. I guess that recovery had something to do with the old bootloader?

Check XDA, they'll have more up-to-date links and build info than some random site.

Otherwise the easy way out would be to use a script. I've found one that will do literally everything you need the issue is that it's Windows-Only. If you can get access to a Windows computer or find a trial version of it you should be golden.
