Do you ever get jealous of your parents for anything?

I just recently found out that my mom got a new phone, a phone that I've been wanting for awhile now, but couldn't afford, so I ended up buying an 'Entry-Level' Windows Phone. This phone that my mother got is a 'Top-Shelf' Android phone. She has no idea how to use it, in fact she told me she plans to switch to another provider to get a 'simple' phone. I don't usually feel any jealousy towards anything or anybody, but with this I do.

Do you ever feel any jealousy towards your parents for anything? How about anyone else?

According to your profile you are 24. Therefore you should no longer live with your parents and you should get over the fact that they have more money than you. If you wanted a nicer phone maybe you should save up your money and then buy one. Or better yet, if you cannot afford the "Top=Shelf" phone maybe you don't need a smart phone at all then you could save more money.

I am 16 and still live with my parents so, no I do not ever get jealous of my parents because there is really nothing to be jealous to them about. Anything they have I can use and my phone is better than theirs even though they bought me mine. So at the end of the day no, I don't get jealous of my parents.

I do not live with my parents. I never stated that I did. I have been living on my own since I was 18. Also why do you assume that my parents have more money than I do? We both are on Social Assistance, So we get the same amount of money.

well, my parents changed my diper and wiped my butt when i was a baby. they fed me and provided a roof above my head until I moved out... I am sure your parents did the same for you. So stop whining... If you want nice things, earn it.

I am not whining. I do earn the things I have/get. I am simply asking a question of the community here. Also it is natural to feel jealous of ANYBODY, even your parents.

No I'm not jealous of what other people spend their money on. That kind of thinking can get you in trouble because you're always comparing to others and always gotta have the latest and greatest.

I see what you're saying but disagree with jealousy being "human nature". I believe it's a decision. So I decide to not be jealous.

Nope, I have the most advanced technology in the house. I have my own theater system (They don't) I have 2 external monitors for my MacBook Pro with Retina (Monitors are 19" and Mac is the 15") and I have my own 32" LCD TV. Oh and I have my own keyboard for music stuff. I think they are jealous of me actually... Anyways, The funny thing is I did a bunch of chores to save up to all of it... that was a painful couple of years but it was worth it.
