Hey all.

This is a rather urgent one.

I have been asked to DJ at a friends party as I have the speakers and DJ mixer, however, I went to test the gear just now for the party tomorrow night and found the USB drivers for the DJ mixer were not installing.

I have used this mixer heaps in the past from my laptop, so I am confused why it is not installing all of a sudden.

The mixer is a MaxGear MAX7005, and after a while of googling around, I can't seem to find any drivers for it let alone a company website where I can ask for help.

Can someone PLEASE help me soon? Otherwise I'm going to have to try find another solution and fast.

Thanks in advance!

Have you check the label underneath to see if there is a manufacturer website or at least a manufacturer name underneath that you might be able to goole the name of the manufacturer. In order to find the drivers for it???

Have you checked device manager to see if there are any dreaded yellow question marks or unknown devices? Might be worth installing this: https://ghostbuster.codeplex.com/ to see if there are any "ghosted" drivers that need to be removed and then try your mixer again to see if Windows can find it. Are you plugging it directly into a port on the computer or using a hub? I have had numerous problems with devices (mostly my numerous external drives) connected via a powered hub that spontaneously vanish whilst transferring data or intermittently don't appear in "My computer". Are you using the same computer and operating system that you used when the beast was working OK? Have you tried a different USB port? What about trying the mixer on a different computer?
