I just wanted to watch a video and my sound didn't work, I checked in the System Preferences and found that I was using a Optical Sound output...

I have never used Optical Sound before (our home media system doesn't really have the cable available at ease)

Since when does the MacBook (mine is the 17-inch, Late 2011) have this support?

Here's two pictures as proof.. My mind is blown at this..

Oh and how do I go back to regular sound? I can't have it go via my speakers anymore...
