Yes, but I seriously don't see why this is so. There are only like 3-4 wifi networks around me. I've had better wifi reception in places where there were at least 20 detectable wifi networks. For some reason, only my desktop has it this bad. All the other devices managed to get at least 5mbps download speed, out of the 10mbps I've been paying for, but this is only at night. It gets a full 10mbps during a day, regardless of what device I use.

if it's happening only at night, i'd look at what other wireless items are on at night, these could be interfereing with your signal.
microwaves, radio communications systems (like walki talki's, baby monitors, wireless phones etc) could be running on the same wavelength as your wifi adapter and causing the issue.

It's possible when people get home from work they turn on all their devices that may produce interference but may not be wireless routers. In addition, if a router isn't broadcasting its SSID you wouldn't see it, so there may be a half a dozen more routers around you that you aren't aware of.
BTW cordless phones sometimes operate on the same frequency of wireless routers. Try changing the channel your router is operating on. If it's set to the default and everyone around you leaves it on the default as well, that could be an issue.

It's also possible your PC needs a clean out, it could be so cluttered with images and information it can't handle it when things get busy, your settings might not be optimum either, and that depends on what you are running and how old the system is

Try what @roguekiller23231 said and also, you probably already did this but move the access point closer to you if nothing helps. I mean my laptop is all the way in my room which is about 70-80 feet from the access point and I get crap service. Moving it around 10 feet makes a HUGE difference because I get from 5-10mb down to 10-20 down.

Maybe there are more people in your area using the internet at night causing the network to be congested. I know that happens with Bright House in my area. Internet slows down a little at peak times.
