Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about Google Chromebook's offline capabilities. I considered getting one for taking notes in class, but was worried what would happen if I couldn't get online. Can you still edit or start new documents? Thanks!

Offline mode works great on the Chromebook. I currently own the Acer C7 and haven't had any issues working offline. Gmail is also available offline, so you can compose and read emails with no connection.

Offline mode is supposed to be enabled by default on Chromebooks, but double check just in case. Also, there are many apps in the Chrome Web Store that work offline as well.

From what I understand, Chromebooks work perfectly fine offline. You can still create/edit documents, and the next time that you go online, it will sync the document that you created offline.
