I switched from Windows to Mac OS X because I hate Windows 8 and I love the Mac OS X, but my question: Why does Mac OS X crash when I type "File://" plus a third "/" in the text editor? |

It does that because the OS X will always check to see if what you're typing is an address, a phone number, etc etc. Basically, that software checker bugs out somewhere and causes this. As long as one capital letter is in the phrase it will cause the crash. File:/// will work, fIle/// will work, filE:/// will work etc. But just file:/// will not usually work. The issue is only present in OS X Mountain Lion. Chances are that Apple has already fixed it but is waiting to deploy the update (as they usually wait and release one update with a large amount of fixes). |
