So I have a 19" Emerson HDTV that has a resolution of 1920x1080. My laptop has a real resolution of 1366x768 and a max resolution of 1600x900. When I connect the two VIA HDMI, an image that dosen't fill the full screen appears on the TV, and it bumps my laptop resolution to the 1366x768(my normal is the 1600x900). Does anyone know what's going on? Also On the Screen resolution settings in control panel, If my laptop resolution is at 1366x768, It shows the two displays as being the same size, almost as if it's trying to mimic the 17" display on the 19" display.

Thanks for the answers, but I figured It out. I set my laptop back to 1600x900, then I went to the settings of the LCD TV in control panel, and I had to put the horizontal and vertical scaling to 50% and now Its exactly how I wanted it. :D
