Please read this full question before you decide your answer. For the past 4 years all I’ve really wanted to happen was that the Twin Towers (WTC 1 and WTC 2 from the former World Trade Center) would be rebuilt. Lots of people agree with me actually. They wouldn't need to be built on the exact location they could just move them back a little bit like where they were planning to put WTC 2 and WTC 3. It would be a Tribute to those that died. But it would also state that Terrorist cannot change our skyline. When I say rebuild I mean rebuild them using the original designs with improvements. Not have some glass towers that look completely out of place in Manhattan. I know there is going to be someone who’s going to comment and say “THEY SHOULD NEVER BE REBUILT! THE DESIGNED WAS TERRIBLE IF THEY FELL SO EASY!” What 110 story building can take a plane in it and still stand? They stood as long as they could. But now that we know how they fell we can design it so that it doesn’t happen. The towers were beautiful. Right down to the outside windows that made a cactus like looking thing on the bottom. (See picture below) Just little features like that seem awesome to me. Windows on the World was a beautiful restaurant that allowed you to look down on the world below. Watching the sunset or rise on the tops of the towers inside or out was amazing. The towers were an icon of America. They greeted you as you came in and left. The "cactus like" part of the WTC.
The Tower's greeting you:
If the towers were rebuilt it would give so much more office space to New York. Plus there is still tenets that want to go back and have since the day it happened. I personally think the best time for the towers were around 1997-2000. (Personally my favorite time because of the photos make it look beautiful.) What one of these skylines would you prefer to see?

As a New Yorker, I think that One World Trade is enough. The second one doesn't need to be built. I agree with @TheTechDude, there is no reason to keep the original design. I like One World Trade as it is, and I hope it opens next year with applause around the world. More office space. There's office space in that building. There's a lot of office space. I saw it on the news the other day that they sold off floors of the building to companies already. The only thing I'm concerned about is that it will become a target for terrorism. I thought about it some more. I guess I am one of the people that thinks everything should go back to the way it was before stuff was destroy. (Not only the towers.) If the White house was blown up they'd build it exactly how it was. Same with the Empire State building. |

Honestly, I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just saying, the one thats being rebuilt already costs like a billion dollars, a second one would be very expensive. |
