Anti-Virus in VMWare

Hello world,

I am using VMWare Workstation right now as was recommended to me earlier on this forum and I am running 7, XP and Ubuntu 12.10 AMD64 on Windows 8 Pro right now. It works perfectly fine and ESET from Windows 8 blocks everything from possible threads but Windows 7 and XP keep asking me to install an Anti-Virus. Is this needed and if it is, will I have problems with ESET and that Anti-Virus biting each other?

If you go into the action centre you can disable the notifications for this anti virus. Once you have done this you can uninstall the anti virus program in the virtual OS and it won't notify you again

Ok, this will remove the notifications but what I really meant to ask is if I really need to install a anti - virus on the virtual os if ESET takes its effect there from the HOST OS. If you can tell me that I'll understand.

0	treat every VM as its own machine, so every OS you have installed needs to have an AV on it, if you choose to use one... For Linux the only one i know of is clamAV answered Feb 25 at 12:44 trueb 15.0k●49●99●256
