First of all, I would like to say that I know a majority of people use a Mac for graphic design, but I am looking at a Sony Vaio and hoping it's sufficient for this purpose. It has an i5 3210M CPU @ 2.50 GHZ/2.50 GHZ processor, Radeon graphics card, 8 GB of RAM, 1 TB HD, and 64-bit OS Windows 8. I am also going to be using it for gaming, video editing, and Web design. |

as of now Macs and Linux Distros have not proven to be popular with gaming, although they are getting better, they are not quite there yet. as for video editing and web design, Macs are more popular, but either windows or Mac will work, IMO it does not matter. In any case, make sure you have a big screen and the 1TB hd is 7200 RPM not 5400. |

In all reality, the OS really doesn't matter. The software available for the platform is what matters. Both OS X and Windows have great video editors. The only "professional" editor that Windows lacks is Final Cut Pro. However there are several other, and in my opinion better, software suites available on both platforms. Which software you use boils down to preference. Some people like this, some people like that. It doesn't make them any better than anyone else, despite what they may ramble on about. |

I think that the processor is a bit slow, now I don't mean that it will be laggy, but there are much better options, but you would have to settle for a desktop. I would slip in an SSD, too. |

Mac and Final Cut Pro is the best you can get. Windows has some good apps on it, but nothing like Final Cut |

Oh and i do play games on my macbook For example World Of Warcraft, Borderlands 2, Garry's Mod. No lag so take that in mind :P |

It'll be fine, not great, but fine. It should suite your needs, I assume. |
