If you submit something that is clear, concise, attentive to PUGS (punctuation, usage, grammar, and spelling), follows the provided guest post submission guidelines, and the material is judged by Chris to be of interest to our readers (and hasn't appeared online anywhere else), it may not take long at all. But if it's evident that heavy editing is required from just a two-second glance at the submission, it will likely never make it any further. Advice: Carefully follow the guest post submission guidelines, run it through some sort of spell-checking process, and reread and rewrite accordingly until it's something that conveys your point in a way that would make you want to read it. If at all possible, have a friend read it, too! We often miss the easiest mistakes when we rely only on our own eyeballs. I've been an editor for a pretty long time and I include myself in that statement! Hope that helps a bit. Good luck! |

It depends on a number of factors, including the subject you wrote about, whether the subject is time-sensitive (such as a review of a gadget that was just released) or if it is intended to be searchable in the future, etc.
Where is your writing sample/guest blog post, Daniel? (How did you submit it, in other words, and when?)
