mine was about bluray DRM but the question kinda answered it's self as more people are finding that old bluray players are no longer getting firmware updates to support the changes in the DRM and thus perfectly good players are becoming paperweights because companies wont support old hardware with firmware updates forever even though the hardware is still able to run the content if it were not for the DRM.
