Microsoft has a popular OS interface, abandoning it outright in Windows 8 doesn't at all seem like a brilliant idea. So would you like if your Windows tablet interface looked like this?
In my opinion it has many advantages over the IOS interface. It's uniformity between the "desktop" and tablet UI is what's missing in Windows 8.
The aspect ratio of screen should be 4:3, in competition of the iPad, which also makes a great looking device ideal for tablet/computing use.
So what do you think?

I have to admit; a start menu doesn't make much sense with a touch screen. Even considering visibility with the lack of contrast and inefficient usage of screen real estate it wasn't that good of an idea to begin with. My experience with Gnome and Unity is that its search feature was speedy and more attractive as new icons loaded as I typed. My main issue with Metro is; "It's about as attractive as a table covered in colored paper" and that's going to matter with a tablet. It needs some dimension and contrasting form.
