So, I was going to buy a beginner drum kit to learn. The cheapest ones were all £250. I was seriously considering this Stagg one as their name carries a good reputation and the kit looks really nice in that silky smooth black.
However, Dawsons currently have one of similar specifications and price - But it's £60 so it's only £190. http://www.dawsons.co.uk/mirage-standard-5-piece-drum-kit-black
Since I don't know much about drum kits I was wondering if anybody could give me some advise on the quality of both and wether it's worth spending the extra £60 (If the Stagg is of higher quality). As I said, I do much prefer the Stagg in looks. I thing the Mirage one looks damn bad. But it could be worth saving £60.
I'd appreciate it if feedback was given ASAP as I don't know how long this will be on offer!

I posted this question on Twitter, as I do with a couple of questions. I got one reply:
Peterwhite12 on Twitter: " I would go for the 'Stagg' kit. As a starter kit things are bound to go wrong and maybe break. Stagg have a lot of replacements"
