Can I install a copy of Windows 7 Upgrade on a new hard drive cause it says I need OEM is that true?

You cannot use a Windows 7 Upgrade on a computer unless a valid, activated copy of Windows XP, Vista or 7 is currently installed.

no not an up upgrade version you needa full install CD or the CD need a valad older windows version installed on the drive like install vista ..

if your old version of window is not a legal copy or coming up as valid, an upgrade will not work, you need an original copy with it's validation code.
Up to 2 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 524.3 kB each and 1.0 MB total.
