I've only ever been in one gaming "clan" (guild, in World of Warcraft) and it was entirely comprised of people I knew in real life. I'm not a hard core online gamer, though I do enjoy jumping into a good MMORPG on occasion.

Clans are a great way of getting people together who enjoy to play games together. adds a tactical side to gaming as well? i used to be in a clan for cs 1.6 when i was cal-o.

I think clans are great. I am in one on the PC called "The Executioners" a.k.a. =Exs= and we play fps games competitively. Our current game of choice is Battlefield Bad Company 2. We do semi-regular skrims and just finished a tournament. I wouldn't leave my clan unless I was going to be quitting gaming.

Im in a MW2 clan on the xbox 360, we dont really play clan matches or anything, were not very competitive. Its really jst to have a laugh really, which is what gaming is all about (for me at least).Oh the clan is called Band of Squaids
