I just got done with my second year of college and I have been looking for a summer job for a few weeks now. It seems like absolutely no one is hiring! I think part of the trouble is that I am only planning on working for the summer. Do summer jobs exist anymore?

yes summer jobs still exist. seems like a lot of stores are having you apply online now. i still like going into the store and asking. Try calling and vising the store you plan on working at personally to increase your chances of getting hired

Have you checked the job boards?

http://www.dice.com

http://www.craigslist.com

http://www.monster.com

And of course your local newspapers' websites.

I believe we are both in the same boat here my friend. I've looked all over the place. Summer jobs are still around but the problem I am finding is that all job positions are filled for the summer! It sucks, but I'm not giving up that easy!

yes, they exist, i found the easiest way is to find family owned businesses, and just go in and ask if they are offering jobs. it does not work as well if it is not a family owned buisness

Check the newspapers, go to stores like Oldnavy, Target and you can search online.
