I just read this article and found it interesting http://www.pcworld.com/article/198093/apple_designs_solarpowered_iphones.html Tell me how you feel about it.

Are you aware of the Novothink Surge solar battery charger/extender available for the iPhone and iPod touch? It's already on the market -- no need to wait for Apple! You can even remove your iPhone from the case and set only the Novothink case in the sunlight to charge. |
WOW! That seems really cool. I just don't think you would have it in the sun most of the time. It would be in your pocket all day and at night it would be in the dark on a table, at least that's how it would be for me. I don't think that method of charging is very reliable yet. |
It's a pretty cool method of charging the battery but it's probably pretty slow. |
Not much use here in Scotland, not enoough sun lol |
I would welcome and really like the feature. I go running on a daily basis and find myself outside more and more during the summer; it would be perfect to charge my phone on the go. |
Would probebly be ineffective due to the coating blocking the signal with AT&T's already bad network. |
leaving my phone in the sun in impracticable, a solar charger is also impracticable cause i charge it at nite. |
Its just a patent like theres another patent that apple has to have a touch keyboard rise when you bring it up so it basically is a normal keyboard |
Hot... I hate handling a phone after it's been sitting in direct sunlight! |
