i would strongly urge you not to set up an ftp server due to how insecure they are... but if you do a google search there are step by step directions.
How else should I get my files on it then?
Are you just wanting to get files off your home computer?
there is SugarSync, Google Drive, Dropbox... with a cap
There is also http://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx which lets you take remote control and i think lets you swap files,
Okay, but this is a VPS for CDN purposes.
Can you explain what exactly it is that you need?
I do have some doubts if you really need this for exactly what you say you do, and if you really know what you are getting yourself into...
look up scp, it uses the ssh protocol (secure) to transfer files. GUI programs have also been created to help with this...
Up to 2 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 524.3 kB each and 1.0 MB total.
