I was just wondering if you guys know of any code editor or rather theme that changes color depending on what time of day it is (in other words if it's dark or not). I had this problem that I was working on a project for about 6 or 8 hours straight and noticed that the longer I worked (until it gets dark), and the brighter the theme is, the more painful my eyes were (maybe not painful, but irritant). When I changed to the dark theme I was fine. I was wondering if this is possible to be set by what time of day it is; so I would like to make some more research on this to find out what is the optimal color and screen brightness for a certain time of day (or brightness in other words). I'm not sure if this is about how much time you spend using a screen or how dark or light is in your room.

Why do people try to treat the symptoms and not the cause, I thought society learned that years ago...
Symptom: Eyes Hurt
Cause: Spending to much time behind a computer screen
Solution: Don't spend so much time behind the computer screen.

Not sure of any IDE that will do this for you, but I know in some of the more recent Microsoft (C#, C++, C etc.) IDEs you can manually switch it to a dark theme, probably not exactly what you're looking for but it does provide a quick toggle for it.
Not very useful if you're developing in Eclipse like I am, but hey, if someone can get some use out of this :D
