A few months ago I would get 30-40 solid frames in games. I now get 15-22. What happened? This is in several games (select few run okay). I don't understand. I updated all drivers today.I have Windows 7, Intel i5 2.5 ghz, 6 GB of RAM, and it is 64 bit. Please give suggestions to improve performance after is bombs for some odd reason. I have removed viruses and done clean scans, updated, cleaned temporary files, restarted, and done reinstalls of Windows. I don't know what is to be done. I have used Game Booster and gone to Windows Classic theme. Any suggestions? Thank you SO much. I really would like to get this issue resolved and go about my solid, happy gaming. ;-)

disable 'Indexing' service in windows.
try temporarily disabling system restore,
if you have any programs that have a scheduled task like scan for viruses/malware, defragment tool (Diskeeper is the worst for gaming as it defrags all the time) or a some backup software, they could be causing the frame drops as they access the HDD while your playing.
